I have been in the commercial construction industry for over 22 years. Over 95% of this time has been in operations management, project management, lead supervision, sales, estimating, design build oversight and marketing.
Over these years I have had the privilege of working on projects for Honda Research and Development, PRC Desoto (aerospace coatings division), County of Kern, State of California Joint Taxpayer Board, Kramer Junction Company; Solar Energy Field, All American Pipeline, Travel Centers Of America, Pacific Medical Buildings, Catholic Healthcare West, Health South Rehabilitation, Pump It Up, Taco Bell/ KFC, Sangera Auto Group, Sangera Properties, Greg Bynum & Associates, MD Atkinson, Joe Jaconi Company/ 765 Partners: US Bureau of Land Management, Mission Foods and TCI Tire Company, Dr. Kay Sykes/MD, Dr. Thomas Berry/DDS, Central Valley Occupational Medicine, Goodwill Industries, Advanced Distribution, Flashco, Progressive Insurance, Pro-soft Technology, Stockdale Aire, Ridgeview Community Church Preschool and many more.
My ground up, new construction projects include but are not limited to:
- CVOS, Delano: 16,000 sq/ft partial design build office/ retail/ warehouse facility
- Advanced Distribution, Inc: 22,500 sq/ft design build office/ warehouse facility
- Honda Research & Development: 9500 sq/ft testing & engineering development facility
- PRC Desoto: 16000 sq/ft admin office/ Test Laboratory
- PRC Desoto: 44000 sq/ft distribution center (design build)
- Stockdale Aire: 9500 sq/ft office/ warehouse with second floor offices
- Kramer Junction Company: 4000 sq/ft employee support building
- All American Pipeline: 2800 & 1800 sq/ft field operations building
- Flashco: 6750 sq/ft repair shop & parts office
- Ridgeview Community Preschool: 9900 sq/ft design build preschool bldg with admin office, kitchen & (8) classrooms
- Goodwill Industries: 8500 sq/ft regional executive offices
Summary of Experience
Started in construction in 1986 with a company in its infant stages. Helped develop company from approximately $275,000.00 dollars gross sales to over $10,000,000.00 in 2000. Developed company’s operations manual, policies & procedures and safety program. Responsible for most of staff development, hiring and firing. Up to 1998 coordinated and ran virtually all of company’s ground up projects including design build projects. In 1995 worked for company as design and plant site development consultant for Mike Yurosek & Sons carrot processing facility prior to its subsequent acquisition by Grimmway Farms in 1996. In 1997, 1998 and part of 1999 worked as both construction superintendent, plant development and builder for PRC-Desoto in Mojave, California. In 1998 was co-named “Contractor of the Year” by PRC-Desoto. In January, 2000 left the employ of previous employer and started Storar Construction, Inc.
